Lotte Beckett is an actor, theatre-maker and writer based in Sydney (Gadigal).

Currently:

  • Performing new sketch comedy show, ‘Hittin’ it Big! With Janine and Bernadette’ at the Old Fitz Theatre with co-writer Lily Hensby, as part of the Everything but the Kitchen Sink Festival. Link here!

Lotte recently performed with Sydney Theatre Company, Fever103 Theatre, SUZY Productions and Pork Store Productions, and has written for La Mama, ATYP and Griffin Theatre Company. She has spoken on guest panels for Swinburne University’s Writing and Literature department and loves messy, heartbreaking, funny stories that make you laugh as much as you cry.

In 2022, she wrote, performed and produced theatre work CLUB NITE, staged at nightclub Miscellania. CLUB NITE was awarded the Room for Art Project by Ethical Property Australia.

She makes original work under Hensby & Beckett with collaborator Lily Hensby, co-writing and performing play A Fine Line, producing and performing Lily’s play Last Time, and co-creating and performing comedy show We’re New Here. H&B have performed comedy at Crush Nights, Limbo Comedy, MICF Festival Club, Corner Shop Comedy and The Improv Conspiracy.

Hensby & Beckett were also recently shortlisted for the Katie Lees Foundation Fellowship, were finalists for the Martin Lysicrates Prize, and Last Time was nominated for Best Theatre at Sydney Fringe Festival.
